Up North, at Peace is a place for us to remember and celebrate Joel Ray Marsh, the inspiring man, son, brother, friend, who now watches us for each and everyone of us, and greets those we love as they join him in heaven.

Here's to a life well lived...

Our Ironman....

"IRONMAN"

If it were not for Joel going to college at Michigan Tech, perhaps the "Ironman" run would have never been born.  We may have missed the powder and the white clean snow of the Keweenaw Penisula, and now we can't live without it.  The Ironman is a annual snowmobile run from Armstrong Creek (the land of Buck, Bill, John, and Tom) all the way up to Houghton, Michigan.  It is quite a feat of man hood that requires many gas cans full of fuel of all varieties...

As the men start to get ready for the ride that comes the first weekend in February we recognize that although this year they may be one sled short, they are definitely not one man short.  Joel was the ultimate Ironman, and will be riding with them this year...

Joel's new sled and one of his favorite hobbies...

Many miles, many friends, many memories...

Our Ironman - Joel R. Marsh

When the trail ahead seems too long, look back and see how far you've come...

May the snow be plenty, the trails be groomed, and the men be made of IRON!
